Director of Marketing and Buying
Rod is our Director of Marketing and Buying and as has been in this role for the last 4 years. Previous to joining Liquor Plus Rod worked with a number of Wine, Beer & Spirit importing companies over the last 17 years.
After going through high school and university right here in Victoria, Rod worked in a number of restaurants including Il Terrazzo. After returning from a stint in Grand Cayman he started his career in the liquor industry as a sales rep for E & J Gallo Winery on Vancouver Island and progressed from there to eventually owning his own importing agency.
In the summer of 2006 Rod joined our team as Store Manager of Liquor Plus Douglas and eventually took over the buying responsibilities in 2007.
Today Rod filters through hundreds of products per week to decide which represent the biggest bang for the buck. If not in the office he can be found travelling the world looking for something special.
